IMPORTANT: The Irish Cultural Society of Arkansas is holding a food drive this year to benefit the Arkansas Rice Depot. We are asking every MINI that plans to be in the parade to bring two (2) non perishable food items. This is per person, so if you have a co-pilot, bring 4 items.

IMPORTANT: We all need to decorate our cars in the Irsh theme. Please make sure your MINI shows ths Irish Spirit as it moves along the parade route. Please remember to stock up on candy, beads, etc. to toss to the parade observers.

Your RSVP is greatly appreciated.
We need a count of cars that want to participate as soon as possible. Please send an Email to Gregg Petersen with the number in your party.  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Little Rock St. Patrick's Day Parade Organizer

The Irish Cultural Society of Arkansas (ICSA) will present its 13th Annual Rock to North Little Rock St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday, March 17, 2012.

From a humble beginning with just 12 parade entries in the year 2000, the Parade has grown to include 100 entries and more than 500 participants and volunteers.

Thousands of spectators line the streets of downtown Little Rock and North Little Rock to watch and enjoy the Parade and post-Parade entertainment - stretching from two key business districts (River Market south of the Arkansas River to Argenta Historic District north of the river).

The post-Parade entertainment adds to the festival feel of the event and encourages spectators to linger and enjoy performances of Irish music and dance. They then stay to eat lunch, ride the River Rail Trolley or take in the sights, contributing to the overall economy of both cities and generating added revenue for area businesses.

Members of ICSA, Parade participants from around the state and spectators/tourists, stay at area hotels such as the Wyndham in North Little Rock and the Presidential, Marriott Courtyard and Hampton Inn Downtown in Little Rock, to enjoy the weekend festivities.

Over the years, media coverage of the event has grown to include:

  • Multiple pre-Parade interviews and post-Parade coverage on all four regional television stations, KATV, KTHV, KARK and FOX
  • Multiple pre-Parade interviews on popular radio stations, including: B-98.5, TOM FM, KARN, 94.1, etc.
  • High Profile story in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • Listing in the Top-Ten events in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazettemultiple years
  • Front page coverage of the Arkansas Times Calendar Section
  • Feature stories in Soiree and Little Rock Family magazines
  • Featured event in the calendar section of Spirit, the in-flight magazine of Southwest Airlines

Collectively, all of these points demonstrate the potential to grow the event into a two-day, two-city weekend festival worthy of financial support, sponsorship and endorsement.

Thanks again for your application. This year we are pleased to announce a food drive campaign to benefit the Arkansas Rice Depot, who take care of the less fortunate in this great State of ours. We request that each participant/ spectator donate at least two non perishable food items. Please contact all your parade participants to help with this request !!!

The assembly point for the parade is 4th and Rock St in Little Rock (same as last year). Upon arrival you will be directed to your line-up position, drop off food location and  given your parade entry Number.

A spectacular parade line up is in the works for this year with Mayor Hays (NLR) as Grand Marshall, so lets get our Green on, have lots of fun, and thanks again for your great support.
